One of my favorite vineyards Bourn. Unfortunately Realm will not have access to their grapes. — 4 months ago
Great SB from Realm!!! — 8 months ago
Young. Black and red ripe fruit. A bit more fruit forward. Tannins match it and should have years to develop. Decant helps. Enjoyable. — 2 years ago
[Tasted on September 11, 2026 at Home with Jay]
This is the first vintage after Realm assumed responsibility for farming Farella Vineyard in Coombsville, so this is an Estate bottling. Blackberry, black currant and black plum fruit, with cedar, tobacco, spice and earth. Dark and brooding. — 8 days ago
Not Realm but very good Rhône style wine. — 5 months ago

So we are tasting the 2005 side by side with the 2007. Both decanted and both are singing. This is a difficult call and I am giving both a 9.6 rating, not willing to rank one above the other. Deep and complex flavor profile. Incredibly smooth. Fantastic wine. — 2 months ago
This was utterly fantastic.
The first sip seemed like another one of their many other great bottling’s. So, I let open & warm up and then the magic began. It is next generation from the others and they are very good.
The tannins were so soft & well managed. The wine seamless and beautiful. The fruit second to none. It simply got better with each sip. With each sip the; balance of fruit & earth extremely impressive. The layers just kept building unlikely any other Napa Cabernet I’ve had. I would be very surprised if this doesn’t get a 100 from nearly every critic. Allocation just opened last week. Ships in the fall. Just one thing, it’s $675 a bottle. — 2 months ago
Excellent as always 🍷 — 7 months ago
Picked up a couple of these from a local cellar sale at a crazy cheap price and have been happy with each one.
Classically older SLD Cabernet. The fruit spectrum is on the red and black side (as I expect from SLD) with a mocha/cocoa layered sweetness. Some older fig, sweet pipe tobacco, and a core of fruit still in-tact. Soft on the mid-palate but retaining nice structure throughout the finish. Exactly what I expected from 34yr old Napa Cabernet.
Hope to try the Realm X Hartwell wine to see the vision from where this was to what the profile goal is in the future. — a year ago
