Dec 5th, 2018Still a tad on the young side. Aromatics took time to open up and while present was not overwhelming. Quite dark in appearance but bright red fruits and tar. Fine tannins and good acidity

Mar 9th, 2018Great structure, good acidity, and well integrated silky tannins. On the palate, currants, leather, cherries, tar, and a nose full of roses and violets. Long dry finish... Bricking on the rim. Excellent.

May 6th, 2017This very young 2005 Borolo started off very tight and ended still tight but the flavored began to show after an hour of decanting. Even better by the end of dinner but 5 more years should make a positive difference. I think tobacco, chocolate and black berry notes are finally apparent. Hold for now.
