Intense and profound Burgundy-like Pinot Noir nose with beautifully pure red fruits and a subtle hint of spices and a mineral touch. Like a hypothetical blend of high quality Burgundy (Echézeaux) and German Baden Pinot Noir (Martin Wassmer Castellberg comes to mind). Profound, very elegant with silky tannin and long aftertaste. A beauty indeed. 2013 vintage. Not cheap at 99 euro but unfortunately that is the price of Pinot Noir at this level. 2013 vintage.

Brilliant raspberry and raspberry leaf mixes with red currant and crushed stone over a bed of cedar and pine boughs.

Nice Fam Farm, though I think I like Alpine and Shoe better.

Paired so nicely with a grilled pork tenderloin, mashed potatoes, and salad. Everything came together so nicely for an early alfresco family dinner.

Much better than a prior flawed bottle. Fresh cranberry and pomegranate with warm spices. Classic california cool climate Pinot. Drink em if you got em, this is very good and I don’t think it will improve from more age.

Red cherry, liqueur, some jam, orange peel, new world without the heat. Primary. Aging glacially and gracefully. In 375.

I have experienced more bottle variation (in a bad way) with the bottlings from this vineyard than from any other Rhys vineyard... This was a good one!
