Geyserville Alexander Valley Zinfandel Blend

Glorious bottle. Everything I want. Blueberry, dried raspberry fruit, cinnamon, clove, classic baking spice. Mineral, real balance.

Possibly my favorite Zin based wine

Rich warmth flowing from the glass; cocoa, dried black cherries touch of herbal and Vegetal tones.
Well rounded, great texture and acid balance. Strong tannic finish

Dusty red fruit/berry nose. Medium to light body. Balanced tannins. Dried clay. Maybe the juice was thin at bottling.

Thanks to Sam for pointing me towards Ridge - this was a fantastic wine for a peppery bison roast; the gaminess of the meat was matched by the bold dark fruit. Caramel, chocolate sweetness up front and then a sage-y, herbal mid-palate... blackberries wrap it up in a juicy bow.

Rich fruit. Great zin. How can you not like this
