Last had this bottle about a year ago. Reading that note I don't think I gave it enough air. I let it sit in the glass for 90+ minutes this time. Muted dark fruit on the nose, silky mouthfeel and nice medium long finish with the good kind of tannins. Now I am sad I don't have more as I think there is room to improve.

Drank the 2007. Classical California Merlot . Velvet smooth on the palate with soft tannins on the finish, fruit was subdued but I liked it.
