Basket Press Barossa Valley Shiraz

I am changing my mind on this wine; I’ve been opening different vintages for a customer and I am experiencing amazing taste buds feelings🤙🏻
But the real plus of this iconic Shiraz is the persistence, it never vanishes, never fades away. It stays with you.

Purchased at the winery, tasted exactly the same all these years later (was great then), just even more complete and layered, proof that age-worthiness starts with balance and ends with balance. Wonderful when a winemaker you respect is proven right about the virtues of classic wine.

Mature but not tertiary-- superb definition of flavors with excellent length. Agree with prior comments about an iron-y spine. Fantastic right now.

Quite developed for a Basket Press. Smooth, slightly volatile meaty goodness. Oh, and it had that Hermitage iron edge to it as well. Drink now.
