Rodica
Refosk
Popped and poured. Deep garnet color with an opaque core. Horse blanket, fresh cut prairie grass, lavender, dark cherry, and underbrush on the nose. The palate was montmorency cherries, grapefruit, and minerals (think Gerolsteiner). High acid. Medium (+?) tannin. Long finish. Killer with food.

I don’t know if it’s because we’ve had so few fine dining experiences since COVID, but this wine instantly bright back memories of some of the finest culinary moments I’ve ever had. Dining at Fandango’s in Monterey.
