Shiraz like. Stable and nice!! — 4 months ago
8 year old refosco; med aromas of black fruit, herbs, spice. Flavors of black fruit, black cherry, plum, med+ tannins woven in. Rustic but not unsophisticated. $28. — 9 months ago
Light to medium bodied wine, pale burgundy with amber hues to the edges. Barnyard funky nose, hay, muddy earth, with hints of black cherry, fermented black plum, and some velvety vanilla notes, maybe even some beach dried seaweed. Palate is VERY fruit forward, silky, with ripe fresh strawberry all over, some wild funkiness, slight brandy hints, with some angelfood cake crust like flavors, olive oil, black olives and tar, really complex, loooong and different. — 2 months ago
Superb nose of red berries, leather, quince and some herbal notes. The palate is very well made with a great acid drive, some red berries notes all along, some width but it's rather light and smooth on the mouthfeel. There are some tannins in the rear, a bit dusty and drying and a long fruity and fresh finish that lingers for quite some time. I had never heard about refrosco before and I read that it's pretty confidential. I will make sure to dig into it some more! — 2 years ago

Another vintage of an old favorite. Deep red color. Aromas of dark berry fruit, leather, dried herbs and forest floor. Flavors of sour cherries, ripe strawberries, black raspberries, balsamic vinegar, sweet and earthy spices along with those dried herbs. Long, peppery, earthy and slightly sour finish. Nice complexity. Quite rustic but quite austere at the same time. Not overly acidic and oak notes are at a minimum. — 2 days ago
