PnP. Dark red/purple color with bright purple rims. Nose has herbs and rustic tones, with subtle flowers. Decent tannins and complex red fruit on the palate. Medium depth and finish. Exceeded expectations! — 4 months ago

Nose - very subtle white flowers like gardenia. Flavors - lemon and melons with the weight of a Chardonnay with just a touch of acid at the end. Really nice with chicken. — 4 months ago

Ronchi di Gramogliano Friuli Colli Orientali Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso 2020

Second take on this wine in a different vintage and, in short, I still like it. Red forest fruits and cherry on the nose, along with some mineral notes like slate and pencil lead, an earthy note too. The palate is long, acid driven, shows a bright cherry note all along. There are some earthy notes too and some width. The mouthfeel is rather smooth at first but develops into a lively tannic wall in the rear, powering up a long fruity finish with still some of these earthy notes and cherry. Good stuff but could use a couple of more years in bottle. — 6 months ago

Gran Teran Istria Refosco 2016

Eight years after the vintage... On the nose, this is cranberry and raspberry... On the palate, raspberry syrup, cranberry/cherry concentrate... Smoke? Earth? Mushroom? The tannins are very present. Powerful but not rough. Long finish. Pepper. — 2 months ago

Scarpetta

Timido Eighth Edition Spumante Brut Rosé

Pinot Nero based Sparkler. Dark pink/red color. Aromas of strawberry, white flowers and earthy funk. The palate is full of sour strawberry and sour cranberry fruit with additional notes of fresh herbs. Pleasant funky note. Crisp, light, bone dry and well balanced. — 5 months ago
