Pale lemon in color with a green tint.

Nice and fruity nose of oak, vanilla, lemons, grass, grapefruits and spices.

Full bodied, soft and buttery, with medium acidity and long legs.

Dry on the palate with cream, limes, green apples, oak, vanilla, spices and black pepper.

Medium plus on the finish with spicy almonds.

A Nice Chardonnay from Sonoma County. Spicy and not too oaky. Balanced with a bit of bitterness at the ending. I liked it better than the 2013 vintage.

Grapes are grown on volcanic soils, in the Chalk Hill AVA. Fermented in French oak barrels.

14.5% (wow) alcohol by volume.

Estate chardonnay grown in the volcanic ashen soils of Chalk Hill, a temperate AVA, just north of Santa Rosa. This French oak-fermented chardonnay displays yellow apple and pie spice aromas with a hint of minerality on the long finish (back label).

Oaky without being creamy, great balance and brightness.
