Réserve Châteauneuf-du-Pape Red Rhône Blend
Outstanding CDP! Right in the drinking window! Blend of Grenache (80%), Syrah (10%) and Mourvèdre (10%). Beautiful balance of fruit (black cherry, cooked raspberries, and fig) and tertiary (black licorice, leather, graphite, earth and black pepper) aromas and flavors. Dark garnet color. Though quite concentrated and full bodied, this wine offers smooth tannins, a lovely texture and is extremely elegant. Thank You John P!

Jul 7th, 2022Fig and raspberry. Hints of rooibos tea. At a very good moment to drink. This wine requires patience to enjoy. It stays a little bit heady and awkward until 5-6 years from the vintage year. Now it is fully balanced and integrated.

May 10th, 2021A little bit darker and heavier than the expected for a Chateauneuf-du-Pape, but still very good. I miss the subtle and delicate aromas that I love in the wines from this appellation.
