Brilliant effort. Magical for an off vintage that shouldn't be considered an off vintage. Blew away the EMH black cat from the day before. If you aren't on Roy's list, epic mistake. Great mouthfeel. Awesome finish

I love the herbaceous twist here, which add interest to its juicy cherries and cassis fruit profile. Clever oak, lovely silky tannins and refreshing acidity, this vintage may not last forever but it's damn charming and utterly delicious!

Lovely richness and fragrant fruit are combined into a sexy mixture where immediate power and subtle elegance are equally important. Very, very impressive. It lacks the depth of the '12, but it's way more charming.

Pulled out the big boy to celebrate Mother’s Day and it did not disappoint.

Nice red fruit with a minty, eucalyptus herbal note and a bit of toast and cocoa on the finish.

My first Roy Piper and wow, off to a great start. On open delicious nose with fruit and perfume. Gave it 3.5 hrs in decanter. Not sure what to expect out of this, but best '11 I've had so far. Some early faint green notes at 2.5-3 hrs. As I tried bits over the decant. At 3.5 this darling was open for business, baking spice, red berry fruit, blue fruit along with a perfect complimentary oak note that finished off a medium finish. Mrs. Geaux loved this too. Silky tannins and a bit of acid red fruits let you know this can survive a few years and reward even more patience. 94 for now...2-3+ points potential. Well done Mr. Piper, well done!

Big, voluptuous wine. Nice structure. Lovely blackberry notes. A really nice wine for the vintage.
