Quinta das Carvalhas 10 Year Old Tawny Port

Opened 375ml bottle. Made from Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz and Tinta Barroca by blending wines that are matured for a minimum of 10 years. Nice topaz color with gentle sweet aromas of spice and almonds. On the palate dried red fruit flavors, well balanced with lively acidity, very fresh taste. Lingering finish ending with pleasant oak and honey tones. One of the best 10 year Tawny's I have tasted. The 375ml was a perfect size.

Enjoying a new port with my wine buddy. The top note is spicy with a kick. There is a fruity element. Underneath its dry and smooth. We like.

Full bodied port with tastes of hazelnut and figs. Paired well with blue cheese.

Pretty good for a 10 year but still has an astringent after effect.

Medium garnet hue. Aromas of brown sugar, caramel, maple syrup, pralines, prunes, raisin, and vanilla. Full body, with medium tannins and medium-minus acidity. Bunches of dried fruit on the palate and a smooth texture. A lovely dessert wine--pairs deliciously with dark chocolate and soft cheese.

Light, raisin flavor stands out the most. Mild chocolate notes

Smells so good clear taste not too sweet!

Slightly spicy with fruity kick. Smooth and enjoyable in the evening
