Dense color to the rim. Red fruit and plum. Long harmonious finish. I wouldn’t have known about this if not for @Roman Sukley (thanks!). Very pleased to have tried this and grateful to my friends for brining this from the UK.

2015 Sami-Odi 'Mahé & Ribo' Syrah. Let me just cut to the chase and tell you that this is the best showing to date which makes me want to lock this stuff away and hide the key. Same goes for Baby Tui (I’m down to my last two Fraser!). Midnight ruby in color. Floral aromas of fresh cut violets. Dark fruits with notes of plums, blueberry, anise, sandalwood, and spices. Medium–bodied with smooth tannins and bright acidity. French oak tones. This Wine possesses a subtle savouriness and an extra silky texture that just pushes all my buttons. Mr. McKinley has a deft touch reminiscent of one Manfred Krankl, a gentleman of whom’s work I am particularly fond. Apply for list membership now or forever hold your peace.

An amazing wine that changed like a kaleidoscope over two days...at first almost monolithic with deep blue fruit... the following day wide open with waves of layer upon layer of flavor intensity

My first Sami-Odi wine and it did not disappoint. I think it would have merited a higher score if it had more air. Looking forward to checking back in on this in a few years.

Incredible nose that attracts attention from across the room. With a little air it is like an afterburner opens up with layer upon layer of bright blue fruit, electric flavors and silky tannins...just WOW

Stunning! Possibly one of the finest noses on a wine I have had ever. Just explosive with so many aromas that my head spins. Lovely fresh palate with balance of power and grace. Wonderful job @Fraser McKinley
