Lots of barnyard funk in the nose. In the mouth you get tart cherry and plum with a light acid finish that lingers. This is a good value wine if you are looking for a light bodied Italian red that drinks fine with pasta in a red sauce. For those raters who gave low ratings expecting something else, you have no clue what you bought.

Rule number one for this wine: let it breathe for at least an hour, after decanting it. It has supertuscan power, dark fruit flavors, and a long finish.

Not as good on it's own but pairs great with food. Had it with grilled steaks

2014 vintage. Good typicity and QPR when on sale. Dried tart cherry, dried cranberry, typical Tuscan stewed tomato, red plum, dried oregano, stale nutmeg and allspice. Touch darker on the fruit profile than a straight Sangiovese.

Did not like this wine at all. Very acidic and lacks character. I wouldn't use it for cooking.
