Lots of barnyard funk in the nose. In the mouth you get tart cherry and plum with a light acid finish that lingers. This is a good value wine if you are looking for a light bodied Italian red that drinks fine with pasta in a red sauce. For those raters who gave low ratings expecting something else, you have no clue what you bought.

1 person found it helpfulJan 8th, 20172014 vintage. Good typicity and QPR when on sale. Dried tart cherry, dried cranberry, typical Tuscan stewed tomato, red plum, dried oregano, stale nutmeg and allspice. Touch darker on the fruit profile than a straight Sangiovese.
