Lovely. Corked fell apart as I opened ir. Pop and pour. A touch of funk at first, which resolves quickly to reveal soft coffee, cedar. cola and dense blackberry. On the palate, solid acidify, richly textured...more black and blue fruit and velvety tannin on the finish.

While good, this bottle wasn’t at the same level as one enjoyed almost exactly a year ago. The flavors seemed a little more advanced, and I wonder if this saw less than ideal storage at some point along the way.

On the back deck with grilled prime NY strips. 😊 Rich black fruits, Colombian coffee, crushed rock, and woodsy spices. The tannins are substantial but rounded. At age 10, this is just coming into its drinking window. Excellent.
