This was my second bottle of the 2012 and it continues to impress. It shows a little more fruit than in the early and mid-2000 vintages, while still coming across as balanced and elegant is style. This is right in line with my palate and is my favorite vintage of this wine to date.

From 375ml. Just at the front of its drinking window. This is a fantastic showing, with rich black fruit, coffee, mineral and smoky embers on the palate. Probably the ripest Scherrer cab I can recall, but still displaying great balance and layers of flavor as it opens up with air. Really excellent.
