Soter Vineyards
Mineral Springs Ranch Pinot Noir
Tonight's fare is the 2013 Soter Mineral Springs Ranch Pinot Noir.
A beautiful expression of the Pinot Noir grape from the Willamette Valley Oregon. Totally enjoying this wine. This is why I love the Willamette Valley Oregon Pinot Noir.
On the nose there is beautiful red fruit, sweet strawberries, red raspberry, cherry, mushroom, dusty soil and minerality.
This wine shows on the palate enjoyable tart strawberries, tart cherry, red raspberry, mushroom, dry earth and some wet rocks.
The wine give a smooth mouth feel with a medium overall body. There are fine tannins and medium + acidity with a crisp langel's finish.
A very enjoyable Pinot Noir overall and is a great expression of Oregon burgundian Pinot Noir.
Love these wines. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷

Feb 12th, 2017Really fun wine, fresh and taut. The nose puffs scents of baking spice, old barn scent and peppery berry. Light mouthfeel yet explosive on flavors. Tannins come across a bit crinkly. Jammy black fruits front and center, cola, guava and hot and wet stone fill the palate. Sold core with a finish that carries flavors from the sip to end with a spicy floral rendition.

Jun 14th, 2017This stuff is just fantastic start to finish. It begins with a subtly glowing red color in the glass and ends with a deliciously long earthy finish. Delicious.

Sep 5th, 2016Bouquet is light brightfruit with overtones of faint vanilla. Flavor is cherry with some astringency and only moderate linger. Surprizingly decent for a difficult viticultural year.
