Different kind of an old vine zin than I normally drink. Had the 2017 in June of 2021. Definitely raspberry and cherry up front with hints of spice right behind. Subtle oak tannins finish this out. Still trying to decide where the black pepper fits but there is a hint of it in there as well. I would buy this one again and believe it could stand up to steak on the grill quite nicely.

Nose is fruity and spicy. Red fruits, smoke, vanilla, with a smooth finish.

Not a Zinfandel connoisseur, but this seemed pleasantly dry enough. I enjoyed it.
