St. Urbans-Hof
Nik Weis Estate Bottled Old Vines Riesling
Acid is ripping on this 15'. A great underrated bottle for a reasonable price.

Mar 3rd, 2017It is Thursday night and had a taste for a Riesling and from Mosel area of Germany. I picked this offering just the other day to have tonight.
The aromas a very vibrant with notes of nectarine, pineapple, apple, tangerine, white peach, rubber and minerality.
The palate sweet but not overly sweet and shows nice Meyer lemon, lime, nectarine, pineapple, lanolin and minerality.
There is a nice medium + acidity with a crisp long finish. A very nice riesling.

Sweet but the acidity makes this reisling one of the few Iād get again. Strong petrol and candy on the nose. Meyer lemon, pineapple, lime on the palate.

Aug 20th, 2019aromas show sweet melon, buttercup, dandelion, wood/sawdust, mandarin orange, ripe peach, stone
flavors add candied lemon and some pineapple.....a bit on the oily sweet side- but with just enough acid to give it a balance that keeps you sippin.
