Feb 11th, 2017Very pronounced vanilla and new oak elements. So dark that it's far from translucent, but not overly extracted or syrupy on the palate. Dark fruit, vanilla, red pepper (tasted this in the merlot too, must be their terroir?), And some baking spices. Tannins hold it together as the acidity is very low.
