Sterling Vineyards
Silver Label Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
It's Friday and I'm ready for my x. Here is a nice one from Napa Valley.
Deep Ruby in color with a short purple rim. Teeth staining color.
Fruity nose with blackberries, sweet cherries, figs, strawberry pie, cedar, vanilla, earth, leather, licorice, light vegetables, spices, chocolates, tobacco, coffee and black pepper.
Full bodied with medium plus acidity and long legs.
Dry on the palate with cherries, black currants, sweet raspberries, plums, wood, licorice, mint, leather, earth, tobacco, light vanilla, spices, peppercorn, vegetables and alcohol.
Medium plus on the finish with fine tannins and tangy raspberries.
This is a nice Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa. Showing nice complexity with a smooth mouthfeel, but not fully balanced.
Big and spicy and I really enjoyed the nose. Drinking very nicely now and I don't see it maturing any longer.
Good right out of the bottle, although a little bitter, but that dissipates within 20 minutes.
Good by itself as a sipping wine by the porch, and will pair well with BBQ Meats as well.
14.6% alcohol by volume.
90 points.
$25.
