It's time for my #FridayCabernetfix. Here is a delicious Cabernet from Napa Valley.

Dark ruby in color with a short purplish rim.

Fruity nose of blackberries, black currants, plums, cooked cherries, cedar, leather, earth, vanilla, licorice, spices, chocolates, tobacco, coke, coffee, light vinaigrette, pencil lead and peppercorn.

Full bodied and bold with medium acidity and long legs.

Dry on the palate with blackberries, black currants, light plums, cedar, chocolates, vanilla, leather, earth, tobacco, spices, peppercorn, graphite, coke and pencil lead.

Long finish with firm tannins and tangy raspberries.

This is a great Napa Cabernet from a great vintage. Showing nice complexity and a great mouthfeel.

Needs 3 hours to open up properly and show the big tannins. After 4 hours it is very tannic.

Still young and needs another 5 to 10 years of bottle time.

Alcohol is well integrated by now. Very tasty and rich.

Thank you Scott for sharing.

I paired it with a charcuterie board of meats and cheeses.

14.5% alcohol by volume.

93 points.

$75.

Needs a few hours to open up a bit, otherwise it comes of as extremely muted. Otherwise, very solid Cab. Dark fruit, cocoa powder and pencil shavings on the nose. Broad and heavy on the palate with a tannic definition.

Nose with juicy fruit and subtle notes of cinnamon and black currant. Beautiful ripe fruit forward with leather middle and black pepper finish. Linger is smooth with well balanced tannins and mild acidity.
