Estate Grown Ballard Canyon Syrah

Hat the 2014 Vintage. Fantastic Syrah. Has smoked meats and spice abound. You can tell there's some time on this, comes off very N Rhone, but with the body of a Cali.

Classic Ballard appellation Syrah, peppery but nothing overly intense, herbal. Well balanced!

Chewy jammy fruit, almost to the point of being sweet on the nose. Little to no spice. Finishes with a light acidity.

Green olive, little dark fruit, tart. Cream soda finish, little barnyard. Not your typical Syrah. French style in the New World. Interesting.

Enjoying this with a BBQ chicken pizza. It pairs well. Plum, cherry, cola, smoke. I like it.

Tobacco, strawberry rhubarb pie, floral, and black pepper. Very smooth, with well integrated tannins. Sweet mid-palate. Layered, chalky finish.

Deep purple color. Sweet dark fruits and spice on nose and palate. Tasty!

Pretty savory for new world syrah. Drinkable, light blue fruits, a little bacon fat. Nice.
