Beautiful ruby in color with a reddish rim.
Fruity nose of blackberries, sweet cherries, wood, vanilla, cola, light vegetables, licorice, leather, earth, spices and peppercorn.
Medium bodied with medium plus acidity and nice legs.
Dry on the palate with plums, cherries, strawberries, currants, vanilla, licorice, earth, spices, peppercorn, smoke, chocolates, mocha and herbs.
Nice length on the finish with firm tannins and tart cherries.
A good everyday red wine from California. A nice wine with light complexity, but a bit off balance. Another year in the bottle might be helpful here.
An above average Cabernet with a lighter mouth feel than I expected.
A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, 59% from Sonoma County and 41% from Napa County.
I actually liked the 2013 vintage better.
14.1% alcohol by volume.

May 11th, 2017Very tart, heavy cranberry, medium high sweet, high tannins so it's better with dinner. More drinkable after it opens up after 30min and slightly chilled.
