Good. Little tart. Must let it breath. Interesting. Would try again but not a regular.

Dry and tart. Clean finish. Very good with rich meat (pulled pork), cheese and spicy condiments. I'm getting some more!

This is a clean, dry ruby colored, medium body Vihno Tinto from the Douro, D.O.C., Portugal. Served decanted & at appropriate temperature. Aromas of blueberry, lavender and vegetables (peas&asparagus). Flavors of tart cherry, anise and black pepper. Moderate acidity and alcohol 13.5% ABV; moderate plus tannins. Paired well with grilled beef, onions and peppers. Medium length finish with clinging tannins. Give a couple of years to see if it improves.

Rarely, one finds a reasonable and good tasting wine at Trader Joe's. In this case, the wine is excellent and clearly very drinkable. It is best paired with venison and a beautiful woman.
