Costco, $13
Not my typical type of wine to grab, but I'm glad I did! Yes it's full bodied, dry and oaky but well-balanced with a fruity acidity, subtly spicy sweetness, and a nice but not over tannic structure. Incredibly smooth for being a higher alcohol content. Very nice bouquet with a mix of earthiness, dark fruit, and a hint of sweetness, maybe vanilla? Honestly I can't stop taking sips of this it's very drinkable and has enough complexity and nothing too overpowering, it's just really well-balanced between dryness, acidity, tannins, and a touch of baking spice sweetness on the finish. Probably the best Cab/Merlot I've personally have had at this price point and has me considering to stop ignoring these types in the future.
