Côte-Rôtie Syrah

BBQ at our friends. Nice pop and pour. Dark and opaque. Great Rhône Syrah nose. Notes of black cherry, graphite, pepper, slate stone, spice and some menthol. Nice mouth feel. Not as big as other vintages of this I’ve had but served its purpose well.

Reviews for this wine are all over the place. We were lucky! Perfectly evolved NR Syrah. Not the top tier of CR, but a nice example. None of the xs acidity others have complained about.

Dirty, sexy, devine.

Oxidized, over the hill. Palate is mineral and savory.

Good nose. A lot of sediment, cloudy and one-note. Past its glory

Loaded with bacon, but a bit shrill.

Consistent with previous 2 bottles. Really in a nice place.

Amazing, cedar, tobacco, depth, fine tannins, great with roasted Rabbit. Toppers Restaurant Nantucket

Tangy acidity. Subtle meats.

Lovely. Fully integrated but many years to go. All the right notes.
