A terrific by-the-glass wine that your local Italian joint SHOULD serve. Easy drinking, but medium tannins and acidity make this light-bodied wine appealing to a wide variety of drinkers. Light mineral overtones, roasted rhubarb, very drinkable. Enough acid to cut most Italian dishes. Nerello Mascalese grape from Sicily, 13.5% ABV but doesn't show it. Not worth the $40+ listed price. I paid $17 at our local Italian foods store.
