Talk about a massive step up from the young Rosso we drank just before. While the former was dark fruited, this was mostly red brambles with flowers and mushrooms. Impeccably layered with compelling texture. The tannins are still firm but integrating very nicely. Lovely structure. Long, slightly saline finish. My word, what a gorgeous wine! Perfectly appropriate to drink now but this will undoubtedly drink well for at least another five years.

Pretty cherry, Pinot Noir-like aromas. Rustic I the mouth. Expect time will be kind.

From the north face of Mount Etna between 800 and almost 1000 meters and from the leanest of volcanic sands, lava fields, and basaltic pebbles. The ash, or Etna dust, is ever-present but just as well matched by a heap of rose petals. Barbaresco-esque, it's striking and haunting. Scary good and deserved of a top notch cinematographer and ultra-hipster soundtrack.

Maraschino cherries and dried fruit. High tannins and acidity, long finish. A hint of leather. Oak fully integrated. Showing clear signs of development without feeling tighered at all. Very good window right now.

Ok... wasn’t expecting much... and blindsided. Silken smooth, very light on the palate, but so amazingly complex and balanced. So very food friendly.... cherry, berry, cranberry, raspberry all rolling around in your mouth with savory herbs, and airless lightness and bright notes. God, I wish I had more. This is the shit!

Incredible wine, restricted nose with some cassis hints, mouthfilling red fruit embedded with perfect acidity and a sweet finish. So balanced! This Etna cru is truly rocking!

Honestly, a bit boring. Decent color but a bit brown for something this young. Meh, a bit hollow and thin considering the critics reviews. Noticeable oak... far too modern in style. Okay with veal Marsala and penne with vodka sauce, but I doubt I’ll but again.
