Tar, underbrush, anise, rose, raspberry. Bracing but not aggressive tannins. Really nice. Not as exciting the second night, which leads me to think it's at or near its peak. I've got more, so let's do this @Larry Frierson !

Rubis légèrement Bruni . Nez sur les fruits noires épices figues. Attaque pleine dense suave. Épices tres present et gourmand par sa suavité . Note de cacao de figues. Petite rusticité tannique mais épices très très long

This was on its A-game straight out of the bottle: some dried blackberries and cherries, but mostly smokey, mineral, and delicious volcanic ASH! The tannins have softened and there's just enough acidity to balance them--in a great place to drink now.
