Jul 7th, 2024The first time I had this wine I liked it— mature, round, cooked fruit forward. The second time I had it… not so much. Same vintage, but Heavy violet & lavender notes (not in a good way) + a little barnyard. Not sure what happened but not a fan. Drank more like a Beaujolais then a Chianti.

Jul 24th, 2022We had the 2018 Vintage on 5/20-21/22. This got better with time. The bouquet had leather and tobacco. There was red cherry, raspberry and mushroom on the palate. Medium bodied Old World wine. There was a three fold mark up by the restaurant. Not a bad wine. It was better on the second night when served properly.

May 21st, 2022Not a bad Chianti, perhaps slightly overripe or extracted. Nice pairing with a charred rib eye. But not too remarkable.
