Opened without decanting but in awe for how beautiful it drank compared to the 2005 Gaja Darmagi which was opened and decanted for 2 hrs before dinner. Still a long way to mature but the finesse is already there!

Nez cerise griotte sanguin et legerement métallique
Bouche fraîche précise ultra délicate et classe en attaque milieux de bouche avec une certaine amertume et finale ultra fraîche longue Twins. Encore légèrement présents mais ultra fin
Un avenir certain mais très intéressant déjà

The 08 was in the best shape, classic nose, good acidity, still had some fruit although it was more dark/dried fruit, but hadn’t really taken on any leathery aromas or flavors yet. Probably would be even better after a full day of breathing.
