Marvelous bouquet after an hour in decanter. Meaty & gamey yet soft, very fine tannins. Done in a very traditional style.

Needs at least 1 hour to start to open. Delicate spearmint nuances. Tight but very fine tannic structure. Long lived.

Wow and Wow again. A 2006 Annata, still shows a firmness and tannin structure of a younger wine. Aromatics are earth-toned and very dark fruits and berries. Aging well.

Franco's first vintage and classic B-S nose and punch. Came pouring out of this 70 and quite forward and robust. Deep exotic spices. Drank this wine first of the 3 as it was showing and also changing fast...still great experience.

Somm said 2016 is smoother than 2015 because of hot summer. Deep, earthy but some lightness relative to a brunello.

Few words could accurately describe this wine. One of the purest expressions of Sangiovese I could imagine. Has all the depth of fruit, yet has an amazing textural quality from the barrel and tannin. A Barolo drinker's Brunello, amazing bottle of wine.
