Beautiful nose, slightly dried out on the palate giving it the impression that it was a bit older than it was, but really lovely in the finish.

This is likely the most Burgundian Nebbiolo I have ever had. Apparently this Barbaresco is made from an unusual clone that is particularly thin skinned with an almost gris like appearance. Hence it was somewhat high toned with lots of floral notes while having some age related loamy mushroomy earth notes. It bridged the gap between white truffle pasta and rib eye quite nicely.

Not as good a year as '06 but the wine is excellent.

High-toned, piercing acidity. Marzipan. 2007, not pictured, was intense with serious structure.
