La Casa in Collina Barbaresco Nebbiolo

2015 vintage. Nice. A little less dry and peppery than my ideal, but good

lovely entry level barbaresco.

no fireworks but still a pleasure to drink.

14% abv

medium body.
medium + tannins
expected high acidity

sour red 🍒, earth, dust, smoke, coffee and cacao and hinted orange peel.

medium 🎯

worked great with fried pedron peppers, smoked chicken fillet and smoked denver steak.
best pairing was with grilled lamb sweetbread.

i need more nebbiolo in my life.

Very good entry level Barbaresco. Traditional style. Definitely worth a try at the $18 price point.

Slow to open, improved after an hour. Next time I’ll decant. Wonderful fruit, tannins softened but enjoyable Nebbiolo with smoked duck and Gouda cheese and mushroom focaccia.
