Interesting nose of leather, earth, mushroom, generally savoury with some smoke & spice. Very high tannin and acidity. Flavours of stewed plum, pepper would work well with rich foods of region.

A couple of the recent reviews cite high tannin. Not at all tannic, soft, easy, acid is low and in cahoots with the tannin. Smoky bacon, meaty, leather, forest floor. Redcurrant, cranberry, perfumed, herbal, mineral. Tobacco and tar. A little too fat, ripe and dried fruit for an elegant Barolo but at £23 for an 11 year old decent Barolo. Good. Co-ops can do good stuff.
