Light, tight, austere. 2+ hour decant. Paired with Calabrian roast beef. $15 from Trader Joe's. Ive had equally good Bordeaux Superieur for $10.

Aug 15th, 2016Terrible. Just terrible. That's exactly why I hate french wines. Unless you spend $100 on a bottle, don't even bother. Red, acidic water. Save your palate and stomach for somethink drinkable. Yuck! I don't understand ppl rating it 8.6.?!?! Come on! Really??!!

Jul 29th, 2016Not an encouraging sign when you can smell the acid from the glass. Sour cherry dominates initially, with forest floor and a hint of tobacco hitting mid-palate. Medium-bodied. The acid quickly overtakes the flavor profile, leaving a thin, astringent finish in its wake. This begs for food, but am not convinced it will help much. Even for $15, am not impressed and there are better values to be had.
