Strong flavors of blackberry and raspberry. Secondary flavors of leather and pepper. Medium bodied. Good but not complex.

Oct 5th, 2019Wow, this tastes like a typical Mount Veeder. Smooth, some fruit and good complexity. This is a good qpr at $30 a bottle from Vons.

Apr 2nd, 2016Nose: Rich and spicy, currants and prune. Taste: Very nice and bold, dark fruit of plum. Medium-long finish of chocolate and caramel. Great bold wine, but doesn't have the oaky taste I like in cabs.

Jan 23rd, 2016Ooo that's nice. The nose elicits this beautiful touch of campfire smoke that curls around black currant and black plum. There's wet leaves and forest floor, a bit of green vegetation, a hint of mushrooms and a subtle charred sugar scent as well. There's even more - and this has just started to breathe - but let's move in. The palette is pure Napa goodness, silky smooth and drinking incredibly well for such a young wine (2011). This is blend of Cab, Malbec and Syrah, but it's the Cab that shines. I would rank this up there with the big boys like Silver Oak, but at a more reasonable price. Delicious.
