Zuriah’s pick for deep red. Zuriah says it’s almost too sour for a Cabernet for her (but less than the Berbera she just doesn’t mind it in that style). Apparently “velvety” is the drying tannin-y taste. So I guess I’m not a fan of velvety. I asked Zuriah about the flavor this one shares with the Rose that almost reminds me of the cheesy flavor some whites have and her guess was it’s oak. If so I don’t like strong oaky wines but some oakiness is ok. Zuriah says it smells like coffee and after saying it I smell it a little too like an aftersmell. More like brewed coffee than beans which is better
