Oily purple with hints of red, substantial Napa Cabernet. Pepper and spice overpowered on opening. Once it breathed blackberry was predominant with some black licorice and black pepper. On the palate yet more blackberry with some oaky notes and tannins kicking in for a dry and somewhat sizzling finish. It's good... Just not great. One of those Napa Cabs that's trying to be something unique yet is in the end a manufactured taste. The grape doesn't shine - it is subdued by the process. Not bad.

Another one that I found in our cellar. Went to pizza joint to enjoy at sunset. Very good bottle of wine, however mildly on the dry side for me. Very good though.
