Sipping Fine Wine

A blend of 84.5% Cab Sauv, 8.9% Petit Verdot & 6.6% Malbec, deep Ruby with aromas of dried ripe fruits and cigar box spice. On the palate flavors of ripe blackberry and cherry with notes of cacao, black pepper and earthy spice. Firm tight tannins with medium finish ending with a forest floor character. Ok for price but better ones out there!

A nice $45 dollar wine that goes great with some 🍕 and doesn’t break the bank when you enjoy a bottle with your husband every night. 😉

My wife opened this last night but I’m only just now getting around to tasting it here on day two. Intense, vibrant, aromatic, hefty. On the nose vanilla, warm Mexican chocolate, star anise, stewed plums & blackberries, baking spices, Luxardo syrup. On the palate luscious and full with enough depth to keep one intrigued. Leans towards the pricey side for what it delivers but I think it’s still within the confines of a decent value.

Another Total Wine finds. I think it might be a bit over priced for the quality.

Not much structure or tannins or acidity. Maybe 8.8 is harsh (the fruit was supple indeed) but price to quality was low. Grape jelly cake to mind.
