Outstanding Sangiovese! Black cherry and plum skin neatly wrapped in sexy oak. Incredible balance as the wine opens up to reveal toasty vanilla and black licorice. The tannin is what really thrills me. Not overly assertive but also not shy. Powdery texture that reaches every corner of the palate. Pleasant bitterness on the finish. Decant an hour and pair with wild boar ragu.
