The body is leaner but the tannins are M-M+. The palate has lots of; blue fruits, black berry, black plum, black raspberries, pepper, tarry notes, black licorice, dry herbs, figs, tobacco, soft leather, round, big, acidity and leaner nice perfumed finish. Interesting gsm blend from the Columbia valley. Lots of fruit (strawberry, raspberry, blackberry), flowers, and herbs on the nose. The taste is pretty well balanced. Good acidity and the tannins are larger than I expected. More herbs, earthy notes, and spices. My only complaint is it is a bit too much alcohol on the finish, super hot.
