Another killer Wednesday Wine Committee lineup. As always, 1 sparkler, 3 whites, 4 reds and 1 dessert wine. All tasted blind.
I called this Alsatian Gewürztraminer. Loads of lychee & sweet lemon-lime. Low acidity but still had some spice on the finish that reminds me of the grape. Smells sweet, tastes mildly sweet.

Off dry, ripe apricot and peach, honeysuckle and lychee. Extremely floral. Medium body, round texture. Quite complex.

Jul 5th, 2017Wonderful example of alsace GT. Exudes lychee, peaches, mild apricot, honeysuckle. Quite aromatic. Smells sweet with the lychee, but drinks dry on the palate. Low acid, bitter on the finish, mild oily appearance. Love this.
