Alsace Gewürztraminer

Truncated party notes. Textbook Gewurz, but in the Trimbach style, meaning a bit drier and less viscous than the norm, with slightly better acids. I like the Trimbach Gewurz style (I wish more producers would emulate it.)

Medium lemon color with pronounced aromas of sweet stone fruit aromas with floral and spice notes. On the palate flavors of ripe fruits; apple, peach, pear, and citrus with generous spice. Medium body finishes crisp with medium sweetness and soft fruit and sweet spice tones. Medium+ finish ending with dried fruits and perfumed mineral spice. Consistent quality.

v18. Very nice. Soft rose nose. Luscious lychee and lime zest fruit. Fusel oil and spice finish. Enjoyable.

Birthday dinner, round 1: buttery lemon, a little sweet…Rob wanted a grüner, but this still tickled his fancy

Dryer. Not overly floral. Very good summer wine. Subtle. Yellow in color
