Twomey
Anderson Valley Pinot Noir
Anderson Valley, North Coast, California, USA
This wine is really good, but has fall spice all over it which seems off in our June tasting setting. There is orange and citrus, but also lots of raspberry. I think it’s lighter than the RRV.

Boring label. Looks pretty in the glass. Rubies like the kind in a cave in a fantasy movie. Smells like earth, warm/hot redwood wood chips, and cherry soda. Hint of fresh house paint and masking tape too. Flavors are clean and pleasing. Plenty of cola with the bright dark colored summer fruits. Hint earthy. But lots of cola. Like the flavor of Coke without any sugar. It’s a big style, enjoyable ‘hotter’ climate Pinot.

Good balance, lots of red fruit, raspberries, great spice notes, had a lot of life left IMO!

Beautiful wine. Perfectly balanced. Paired with Chilean sea bass with soy glaze sauce. Has a few more years to go.

Lighter in color, nose, and interest than expected. A bit muffled and boring…reminds me of its relative—Silver Oak…commercial and lacking in complexity. Glad it was a gift…so much expected, and so much left on on the sorting table and vineyard. Vastly overpriced.
