Apr 30th, 2019When we last visited Twomey, we found out they quit making their merlot. On one of our early Napa visits, we fell in love with this wine. At that time, it was the single most expensive wine we had ever bought.
We were in Atlanta this weekend and found this at Total Wine. 2015 vintage. We bought, went back to the hotel and opened the bottle with the friends we were traveling with. Still a fabulous wine! Hate this may be the last bottle we drink.

Medium purple color. Aromas of blackberry, raspberry and black currant. Delicious dark fruit and dark chocolate. Delicious!

Forest floor on the nose, with plums, wet bark, and ripe red fruits, this was drunk at Wolfgang’s in Honolulu at Prez club dinner. Silky tannins, that leave the mouth dry, with a lingering flavor that’s peppery, red fruit driven, and delicious.
