Beautiful wine. Deep yellow gold. Floral with some petrol, musk, hay, a little barnyard, and the signature dried yellow flowers of aged Carricante. One of the unsung heroes of Etna Bianco for me.

Feb 5th, 2022Etna Bianco with some age! Brought back straight from the estate on our trip to Sicily two years ago. Closed down tight at first, this needs hours to show the very pretty aromas of apricot, wild flowers, yellow peach andriver stones. The palate is a bit subacid at first, but that’s offset by the minerals and incredible texture— almost oily but somehow ethereal. Dry, savory bready notes on the finish.
