Loved the 12. Slight dip in the 13. Tried again tonight after 10 months. Still a stellar tinto. Color, body, nose, pretty pitch perfect for me. It's got that bitter chocolate front with a suggestion of a porto without the sugar. Some old strawberry, not Twizzlers. All good. What detracts is the middle not being round and more complex. Tannins nice. I'm being picky, this is a great wine, but 12 wins by a neck.

Very dark, opaque. Best smell. Long finish, complex, starts sweet and turns dry. Strong like bull! Opens up nicely

UPDATE: So this wasn't as round as last month's bottles. Then I noticed that this is the 2013 vintage. Hmmm, I need to ding it a point or two. The balance of the '12 is missing, and needed given this thing is 15.5% alcohol. Still really really good but...
