Strawberries, white peaches and cream on the nose. The palate thickens to a whipped custard covered in berries. But, there's an odd spike on the finish. Needs time in bottle for sure.

It was an incredible treat to dine with Mr. Dominique DeMarville, cellar master of Veuve Clicquot with a small group of Champagne fans. The LGD rosé is the most recent addition to the VC line- the first vintage was 1988. The ultimate wine for the jaded palate, there was nothing showy or obvious about this elegant Champagne. The magic comes from the Clos Colin, a mid-slope Bouzy plot that provides the 15% red for this rosé. This had the rare peacocks tail finish that is still with me two days later.

Dense, barely penetrable I would age this another 5 for it to settle down and hold easily another 20. Decant if you drink now.

A well crafted, balanced wine with subtle fruit up front and a long finish...I appreciated the wine and wanted to like it more, but it wasn't fun to drink...2006

Far to many better options at a fraction of the cost, only on someone else's dime.
